Suw Charman-Anderson
Suw Charman-Anderson is one of the UK’s social media pioneers. For the last seven years, she has helped clients improve collaboration and communication internally and building customer relationships externally. She recently helped develop the editorial, production and social media strategies for the new Indian news website FirstPost.com.
Charman-Anderson has also researched the use of social media in civil society for Carnegie UK Trust and the media response to the Eyjafjallajökull ash cloud for Chatham House. A freelance journalist, she has written about social media and technology for the Guardian, CIO Magazine, .Net Magazine and Computer Weekly.
Charman-Anderson is the driving force behind Ada Lovelace Day, an international celebration of the achievements of women in technology, science, engineering and maths. A committed digital rights advocate, in 2005 she founded the UK’s Open Rights Group.
