Ilicco Elia is head of mobile for Reuters Consumer Media. In this role, Ilicco is responsible for the strategy and production of Reuters portfolio of mobile sites and services. Including the News Pro set of mobile applications, SMS alert services and mobile websites and partnerships across the globe.
Ilicco has also been instrumental in the use of Social Media to amplify traditional Reuters “Newsmaker” events to a wider audience while giving them the opportunity to be involved in the discussion live – interviewees have included Gordon Brown, David Cameron, the head of the World Bank and the Financial Services Authority.
An expert in internet and mobile strategy and production, advertising solutions and information usability, Ilicco has had several roles in his 20 years at Reuters, including; experience manager for Reuters Next-Generation Trading products; head of online customer experience for Reuters.com; and Reuters corporate brand manager.
