Annie Slemrod is an award-winning journalist, editor and creative storyteller who lived and reported in the Middle East for more than ten years. She is The New Humanitarian’s Middle East editor. Some of her recent work includes The Lebanon Displacement Diaries – an innovative piece of Arabic-English participatory journalism that was adapted for the Beirut stage – as well as The Yemen Listening Project and “WhatsApp, Lebanon?” which tells the story of Lebanon’s economic collapse through the WhatsApp messages of five people.
