Naja Nielsen is a journalist, editor and international media leader. She recently stepped down after six years as digital director of BBC News to start a new job with SVT as media director on 1 June this year, overseeing digital publishing, growth and strategy, including the AI strategy in both jobs.
Before the BBC, Naja had leadership positions at Orb Media in the US and at DR in her native Denmark. In 2014 she was a visiting scholar at Stanford University researching what legacy media organisations should learn and fear from Silicon Valley.
