Social search and virtual reality: More speakers announced for July’s news:rewired

With about three weeks to go to our next news:rewired digital journalism conference in London, we are delighted to announce more speakers joining us from BBC News, Deutsche Welle, Immersiv.ly and Syracuse University.

Announcing the agenda for the next news:rewired

With just four weeks to go until July’s news:rewired digital journalism conference we are delighted to announce the agenda.

The event, organised by Journalism.co.uk, will take place on Thursday 16 July at MSN HQ in London, and aims to showcase the latest in tools, tips and trends in digital journalism, with a focus on practical advice for working journalist at any level.

We have yet to confirm all of the speakers but we can now confirm the sessions available on the day.

Emily Bell to give keynote speech at July’s news:rewired

With the next news:rewired digital journalism conference only four weeks away, we are proud to announce Emily Bell, director of the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia Journalism School, as the keynote speaker to open proceedings on the day.

Bell has been director of the Tow Center since 2010, which she joined after a 20-year career at the Guardian, including five years as editor-in-chief of the Guardian websites and four years as director of digital content.

She joins a growing list of speakers from leading news organisations due to speak at the event on Thursday 16 July at MSN HQ in London.

More speakers announced for July’s news:rewired

It’s now under two months to go until our next news:rewired digital journalism conference in London, and we are pleased to announce more speakers who will be joining us from Reuters TV, the Guardian and RTÉ.

The conference will take place on Thursday 16 July at MSN HQ in London, with a full day of panel discussions and workshops on innovation in journalism, highlighting the latest tools and digital trends.

There is also a choice of three training courses on Friday 17 July, including social media content strategies and open source investigative techniques, but spaces are selling fast.
