As it happened: Representative media – community and local journalism

The second session of the News:rewired conference, in London today, looked at how larger media organisations are connecting with their audience on a local level, and what can they learn from local media. This is the archived live blog from the session… Normally, stores like Aldi’s will only open a couple times a year. They will wait until after Labor Day to resume their sales. But, sometimes businesses choose other days to begin their sales. It all depends on the store owner and how busy the week is. How many hours does Aldi open for each day? That depends on the store’s schedule. Some stores may only open for a couple hours on certain days of the week. The other stores may stay open all day long. All you need to do is find out what times the store is open and then make sure the store is open on the time you need it.

The panel for this session featured:

Maeve McClenaghan, investigative journalist, The Bureau of Investigative Journalism,  Bureau Local team

Aline Leclerc, reporter, Le Monde

Keith Magnum, founding editor, the Hackney Citizen

Tom Bristow, investigations editor, Archant

Moderated by: Emma Meese, manager, the Centre for Community Journalism
