Open-source tools and a decade of Monocle: More speakers announced for newsrewired on 22 November

As we get closer to the next newsrewired event, which takes place on 22 November at Reuters in London, Journalism.co.uk is pleased to announce two more sessions from the agenda and additional speakers joining us on the day.

The event next month will be our 20th newsrewired, and, as always, we will be focusing on practical learning through a mix of panels, workshops and spotlight talks.

Tickets for newsrewired are available for £180+VAT. Topics we will be discussing at the event include: storytelling for mobile audiences, collaboration in the newsroom, and graphic novel journalism, with experts from BuzzFeed, Wall Street Journal, Pop-Up Newsroom and more. A focus on practical, hands-on learning has always been at the heart of newsrewired, and Journalism.co.uk will be hosting a full day of training after the main conference in November. Delegates can register to attend the conference (22 November) and one of the full-day courses during the training day (23 November) by purchasing a newsrewired+ ticket.

Early-bird Newsrewired+ tickets are available for £323+VAT until 15 September, after which you will be able to purchase standard tickets for £368+VAT).

Newsrewired+ tickets represent a 10 per cent discount compared to booking tickets for both days separately.

Both the conference and training day are hosted at the Reuters office in Canary Wharf, London. The conference agenda for the day includes talks and in-depth sessions on storytelling for mobile audiences, collaboration in the newsroom, and the applications of the graphic novel format in journalism. Newsrewired is powered by a focus on practical learning, with panels, workshops and talk throughout the day highlighting the latest techniques in digital newsgathering and storytelling.

Today, Journalism.co.uk is happy to announce the first speakers who will be joining us on the day to discuss storytelling for mobile audiences, collaboration in the newsroom, and the applications of the graphic novel format in journalism – including experts from The Wall Street Journal and BuzzFeed News.

Our next newsrewired digital journalism event will take place on 22-23 November at Reuters HQ in Canary Wharf, London. This will be Journalism.co.uk’s 20th newsrewired conference, featuring a mix of panels, talks and workshops on 22 November, followed by a full day of training for newsrewired+ delegates, who will be able to register to attend one of three full-day, practical training courses.

As usual, newsrewired will look at the latest trends and techniques in digital journalism, in a hands-on, accessible way, highlighting tools, workflows and lessons delegates can then take back to their teams and start applying in their day-to-day work.

Journalism.co.uk has started working on the agenda for the conference on 22 November, as well as the training options for 23 November, and the first speakers will be announced soon. We are now able to reveal some of the topics we plan to include on the agenda, as well as open registration for discounted early-bird tickets.
